Lærke Stensvang (Blue Hors Zack/Blue Hors Don Schufro) and Sanne participated in the finals for the Danish Warmblod Young Horse Championship at Herning Horse Show. 5-year-old Lærke, who has the same mom as Wilson, qualified for the final with 840 points, this fall.
This year, for the first time, they participated in 3 heats instead of 2 at the championship. They had their first start in Boxen Wednesday. In the first heat, there were three equipages in the arena at the same time. Lærke performed very well and scored 8,5 in walk, 9 in trot and 8 in canter, putting her in a shared 5th place.
Thursday it was time for the FEI 5-year old test. Lærke performed a good, flawless performance. She achieved a 8,5 in both walk, trot and canter, 9 in rideability and 8.5 in capacity. This was enough to raise her to a temporary 2nd place.
After a couple of well-deserved rest days, the time came for the last discipline with test rider Dorothee Schneider. Dorothee emphasized that Lærke was happy to work, and awarded her a 9 in rideability and 9 in capacity. This was the 2nd highest marks given by Dorothee. Overall this landed Lærke in 3rd place.
Furthermore, Lærke was also appointed the ”happiest horse”, to go along with her well-deserved 3rd place. This is the second time one of Sanne’s horses win the price as the ”happiest horse”, a price awarded by Hestens Værn, to the horse the test rider finds the happiest, and most at east and comfortable.
